HAVE THERE BEEN ANY MORE ANNOUNCEMENTS AS TO WHO WILL BE CAST OF THE BROADWAY PRODUCTION OF CHITTY NEXT YEAR? IS IT USUAL TO WAIT THIS LONG TO CAST A SHOW THAT WILL REQUIRE, IT SEEMS, A GREAT DEAL OF PREPARATION?

The only two announcements that I saw were for the Baron and Baroness, but those articles both pointed out that the casting was not yet "official."

The London production did not announce the major leads until the November before the March preview schedule. And that production had more preparation to undergo as it was the world premiere of the stage musical.

Soon, maybe?

I think what everyone's really waiting for is who is going to play Caractacus Potts. Is it going to be Michael Ball to reprise the role or will they cast someone else?

The last bit of information about this show indicated that they were going to do it as an all-black musical. They are hoping to get Sean Combs to star and will change the name to CHITTY CHITTY BLING BLING. Sounds exciting!
