contemporary baritone songs

I'm sorry I can't help you out, but I just wanted to say that I can feel your pain.

For once, I'd like to sing a song by a character under the age of 50.

I'll try and think of more. I'm a bari-tenor, so I tend to sing a lot of Baritone songs. So i'm a little foggy on what is consider baritone and what's tenor.

Full Monty is all tenor stuff, the lowest song (I think) is Breeze off the River. Where exactly is your range? A lot of Barritone songs tend to finish off with notes that are often considered tenor II notes (hence the b'way term 'baritenor'). Andrew Lloyd Webber tends to favor the baritone, though a lot of his songs are classical sounding.

It is very difficult to find a contemporary song in the baritone range. Most will need at least a clean G sharp or A in the range. I always used classic rock songs by women which are translatable. Many will say not to do this, but I always get very strong feedback. Make sure the song still makes sense that you are singing it, and it should be fine.
