re: dracula recording#6
Posted: 9/13/04 at 10:03pmHum, I never thought of her as Glinda. Is it me or does she just seem dull? Maybe it's the roles she plays.

Posted: 9/14/04 at 12:13amMelissa Erico does not have an amazing voice. She doesn't even know how to sing properly to make her voice last. I know 2 separate voice professors who predicted she would hurt her voice because of the way she was singing. She's a belter wanna be with those high notes but she doesnt have it and it sound like awkward yelling.

I saw her in something good once. "Sunday in the Park with George". As Dot. In DC. She was very good then.
... and also nude in that too, a show that didn't originally have nudity. Now that I think about it.

re: dracula recording#12
Posted: 9/14/04 at 10:18amdull - yes - thats the word I've been looking for to describe Melissa Ericco - her voice is awesome - but her performance is always dull. Even as Dot in Sunday in the Park - there was a lot of "technique" visable at all times, but not an ounce of heart.

Posted: 9/14/04 at 11:25amWell, to quote Vazquez in Aliens: whatever you're gonna do, do it fast. With numbers like the ones Dracula is posting, it can't last much longer, even if there is a billionaire behind them.
