Yes, I found Depp mesmerizing in this film the first time I saw it. I've seen it several times since, it's one of my favorites. I just love the art direction.
I want to give Edward a big hug- he's so sweet and well-meaning. The message is really important, too. Everyone loves Edward for his talents, but they don't ever get to know or appreciate him as a person. When he's accused of robbery, no one thinks that he might have been framed because they don't realize that it's not within his character to do something like that. Really knowing people is important.
i want to give him a hug too also when he saves kevin form getting hit by a car everyone just thought he was attacking him and never even tried to find out what happened

Looove this movie! Not only is it one of Depp's best movies but also one of the best movies ever made hehe I actually got a Edward Scissorhands action figure for xmas =)
nice. haven't seen that movie in ages... but I remember liking it. Now that you've brought it up, I'll have to go out and rent it or something, refresh my memory.
LOVE this movie!! It was my first actual favourite movie -- the first time I saw it was during summer camp before 6th grade, and the sight of Edward frightened me to NO end, yet I was strangely entranced and could not tear my eyes away from the screen. He really is a wonderful fellow, that Edward. And I love how the smooth ice cream colours of Suburbia pose such a strong contrast to the Castle's sort of..monochromatic roughness? Idunno what the actual terms are (I as good as failed my first ever film class, HA!) but I really like how that movie plays with your mind and your feelings about stuff. Oo! And did anybody notice how Eddie the bully guy is actually Anthony Michael Hall aka The Geek From The Breakfast Club??! I didn't notice that 'til years later :P
I got the movie for Christmas too! it's been one of my favorites for a while. Mine came in this cool metal case (which I love) Tim Burton and Johnny Depp are amazing on their own but when they come together the end results are unforgetable.
My sister took me to see this at the local cinema when I was a kid. I still remember the sense of wonder I felt during the last scene, with the snow.

One of Tim Burton's finest. Another one where I love the use of color and lighting, and the story is wonderful. Also worth mentioning, the music from this film is beautiful.
love this movie. seen it WAY too many times though. i love Johnny Depp...he is the coolest

"They're singing, "Happy Birthday"
You just wanna lay down and cry
Not just another birthday, it's 30/90
Why can't you stay 29
Hell, you still feel like you're 22
Turn 30 in 1990
Bang! You're dead, what can you do?"
