re: evita questions

I do think THE LADY'S GOT POTENTIAL is on the original concept album. I also think the musical sound is more like the original concept album. I'm not sure if the extra "zaz soap" verse is new for the movie. But I think it is. It is not in OBC recording and I don't remember if Patti sang that verse on stage (even though I saw her).
A lot of the different lines are from the original concept recording.

re: evita questions

You Must Love Me was written especially for the movie. I haven't seen the movie in so long that I don't remember the little things in certain songs.

re: evita questions

They always write at least one new song when a musical is made into a movie, so they have something to submit for an Oscar nomination. Frequently, they just play the song during the closing credits to make it eligible. This has always been a pet peeve of mine. To me, the song should have to actually be in the movie to get an Oscar. Oh well, I'll get over it.
Pass it on - Take a kid to a show.

re: evita questions

In the case of the movie EVITA, I actually liked the new song when it was used with no vocals in the Wedding sequence.
