Saw the tour last week. If it's the same material, it's silly, good!
I was surprised to see they didn't do any sketches on Spelling Bee though. I wonder of they do in the NY production?

Posted: 3/7/06 at 11:50pmThey did a very short, but very funny spoof of Spelling Bee when I saw the show in New York in October...

Okay, I saw it 3 weeks ago, and this is what I remember.
They open the show just like on the SVU soundtrack.
Rita/Chita
It sucks to be me (with stephen, christina applegate, and freddy benson)
Light in the Piazza,
Brief spelling bee... HILARIOUS
Wicked
Brooke Shields in Glossy Fosse
Mamma Mia... with a special leading lady.
Phantom bit
Lion King Spoof
Gotta Get a Puppet.
And I am sure there are more, but it is late, so that is all I remember for now.
OH Merman is in there.
Just enjoy the show. It is brilliant!

Posted: 3/8/06 at 10:33amI just saw it last night and it was excellent. It was practically a different show than the last time I saw it which was at least 6 months ago. They took out the Spelling Bee and Chita/Rita skit. Newly added is Pajama Game and Jersey Boys. Piazza was hysterical!

Posted: 3/8/06 at 10:54pmi saw it last night, and it was excellent! My favorites were the Light in the Piazza spoof and Yoko Ono... MissNY, may I ask where you were seated? (That's another thing...it was my first time at the 47th St. Theater. I love small theaters like that)

No poodle in the piazza skit, but they do have the flying hat. And the guy who spoofs Matt Morrison is awesome. His facial expressions and movements are perfect. It was practically like seeing Matt. I loved the Jersey Boys spoof as well.
I was sitting in Row G, house right

Rentingfame - don't know if there is an official tour, but in my city, they did a limited (2-3 weeks maybe?) run. It was great fun.
Piazza and Yoko Ono were hilarious. I also loved the Les Miz bit (I'm guessing this was an older bit).
