John Carrafa came out at the beginning to warn us of any stops during the show, but there werent any. the cast was great, david larsen and kate reinders in particular. i heard people around me saying that she was the next kristin chenoweth. the music was not as bad as i imagined (i dont like the beach boys) and the arrangements were pretty cool, too. the sets were superb, heidi has done it again. the costumes were blah, you can get them all at Old Navy. my one major complaint was the book. the book was centerd around the music, with each song coming in with no real motivation. frankly, i can write a book to fit those songs better. i enjoyed myself, but the critics, i think, won't. (Also, I didn't notice Catch a Wave in there, even though it was listed. I could be wrong.) Updated On: 12/27/04 at 11:21 PM

I saw the show yesterday matinee. I throughly enjoyed the show. The show needs to be cut down a little (almost a three hour tour...), but the cast is so young, energetic and really sells their performance. I met most of them after the show, and they are all really nice. I was hopeing to meet Kate Reinders, but she didn't come out after the show. Jessica Snow-Wilson and David Larsen were very nice, as were the rest of the cast who stayed, signed, talked and took pictures. To call this show the next MAMMA MIA! is going a bit far as of yet, but I have no doubts that this show could be just as big as MAMMA MIA! is (unless ALL SHOOK UP comes along and blows it out of the water; but based on what I saw last night, it will have to be killer).
Best of luck to GOOD VIBRATIONS!

GOOD MINDLESS FUN! YES! That's what it was!
And I agree. We said that about Kate Reinders too -- she has alot of Kristinisms...whatever she has, shes EXCELLENT in the show.

Posted: 12/28/04 at 1:05amI think Kate Reinders and Kristin Chenowith both have similar takes on the way they do their characters. Reinders is much more of a dancer then Chenowith is, based on GYPSY and GOOD VIBRATIONS. I've only seen Cheno in WICKED, where she barely danced (except for her hysterical bit in POPULAR!!).
