Haha, it's late, I've been sick all weekend, forgive me!
I'm actually curious - why haven't they released their site? Usually they are open by previews...

Somebody probably already owns the "LuPone Gypsy" name and wants royalties.
They're waiting to get the wig "just right"
I realize we are in an information age and a lot of people get their information from online, but where is it written that a show MUST have a website?
Perhaps they think Lupone's name will be enough on its own.
(I frankly could care less one way or the other about a website, I'm just saying I don't think they HAVE to have one.)
Jordangirl, I realize that there is nothing that says the show has to have a website, but they have the URL set up with a page that says "Now in previews" and a link to tickets. Why not just put more information about the cast/crew and other extras if you have the URL set up? It is just a convenience issue, and as a ticket buyer, I'd like to see more information about the show since there isn't much out there now. Personally, I think it would be stupid of a show not to have a website, especially, as you said, a lot of people get their information online.

And it's not like they're not marketing the show, I've seen ads all around town on payphones & subways, as well as in Time Out NY.
I didn't say they weren't marketing show. A lot of that marketing is happening in the city, which makes sense, but it is just nice for out-of-town buyers to have a source of information.
They we afraid a browser might fall on someone so they scrapped the plans for the site.

I agree with you 100% millie
It'd be really cool if they had a fun website...like XANADU!
Speaking of Xanadu, I really want those leg warmers!
Ah, thanks millie. I haven't bothered investigating because I have no desier to see it AGAIN. One and a half times was enough (I was getting sick, so I left at intermission the second time I saw it at City Center ~ being in the uppermost section was not helping the nausea. LOL.) for me. Maybe if I knew Patti was going to be out... I didn't realize there was a placeholder url already up.
I do get annoyed when people think there HAS to be a website and the people in charge don't care what's on it. THAT annoys me. (Probably because I've had two jobs where I had to "create and maintain" a website because "We have to have one!" but no one could tell me what had to go on there.) Not saying that's the case here, but it can happen.
