hairspray lyrics question

i saw the show last august, the day after the blackout and i have to say it was better than i expected it to be. a lot better, considering that a few of the leads were out due to the blackout. when i saw the show, during the Timeless to Me scene, there was some joke that got the audience rolling which I of course missed. I do remember that the words "Shabbat Shalom" came up. What are the full lyrics and what joke am I thinking of? Or, was it just adlibbed?
