She'll be taking over for Deidre Goodwin in the role of Velma and Charlotte d'Amboise will be reprising her role as Roxie.

Can I get a big WOO YEAH!!!!!?

Wow... Miss Ems phrase certainly has made it rounds. We have Chicago fans uttering her fabulous phrase now.

Go Emily and her obsession with "woos" and "yeahs" and apparently... the combination of the two. :)

Unless she's pregnant, in which they limit the amount of ass she can kick by way of re-rehearsing her until she lowers her kicks, which apparently was no easy task.
God love Charlotte, pregnant and still trying to kick herself in the forehead.

She gave birth in June to a girl... so unless she's pregnant again, I see no reason why she couldn't kick herself in the forehead re: re: re: re: re: re: hey cjr ... chicago ???

I've kicked myself in the forehead before....It hurts.

I'm so happy she'll be back.

Finally, tourists can see a good version of Chicago again. **sigh of relief**
Wouldn't want people who've never seen the show before to leave with the memory of Melanie.

One of my friends can kick herself in the head. I think she's almost broken her nose a couple of times. I wish I could kick like that re: re: re: re: hey cjr ... chicago ??? LOL I'm 5"10....if I could kick like that I could be a Roquette (sp?). re: re: re: re: hey cjr ... chicago ???

CJR, a friend, who likes Melanie, went to see Chicago. I tried to warn her not to get too excited about it. She never saw it before and never saw the movie. She said she was quite disappointed in it. She did not like that there was no scenery, orchestra was on stage, everyone was in black etc. I told her it was so people concentrated on the fabulous talent of the stars. But, alas, with Melanie there was no talent to focus on. She did not like anyone in the show at all. I had to disagree with that but it was her opinion. She said the people all around her were not enjoying it either.

Dee Va Goodwin must almost make up for lack of musical star quality in Griffith. i wish i could see it. Have seen Dee on the road (opposite D'Amboise once) and in NYC as Velma, and she don't leave much ass unkicked herself! Amboise is good in it, but to my feeling, still a bit young for it. At least in appearance and energy.
