Hey adam.peterson, I think the word you want, rather than 2-spirit, is bigender. 2-spirit is a specifically Native American nonbinary identity. Additionally, there are multitudes of nonbinary identities besides bigender and agender, as I identify as neither of those.

Phillypinto, I personally don't, but if you are asking more generally, physical contact can cause physiological responses even in the absence of a feeling of attraction. Gay people have been having biological children with opposite sex partners for many many years. You of all people should really already have an answer to your own question prepared for when people ask you to explain how you think a closeted gay man could ever pretend to be bisexual, in light of the very question that you yourself just posed.

Acekatherineplumber, thanks for the additional info. I have added it as an additional example of non-binary genders to my 2 parenthetical examples).

lol a person who is a closeted gay man, but claims to be bisexual is probably not doing girls! haha

I never understood the stereotype that all bisexuals are just gays not wanting to come out of the closet "all the way." It's not like one gains any more acceptance for being bi than they do for being gay, so what would be the point?

Agree that AVEN has been a good source for me in rresearching asexuality. I too am asexual and trying to figure out what it means to me. Like I am 30 and have never been in any relationship or have any interest in having sex. Now I fall where I don't need to see sex in the media to please me, but I'm not repulsed by the act or seeing some. I also am aware when people are attractive, but that's as far as it goes for me. For me, I guess that would put me as biromantic. At least that seems close to what I feel. It is all confusing to me still.
And hopefully this will make phillypinto's head explode.

Wow, really fascinating info on new ways of experiencing the world emerging from a thread that I assumed was a snide joke on the op's part to begin with. Nice going, Mariane, and Adam, and aceKatherine, et al.
I suppose one could mention that by now this thread deserves to be on the very far off-topic board, but who cares really? Curious to read where else this goes.

In 1996 a gay porn film called Oklahomo! was released. The plot concerned two gay cowboys, Curly and Jud, vying for the affections of gay farmhand Laurie and who will get to take him to the "box" social. (Extra points if you know what "box" referred to back in the day.)
I'm not making this up.
I would post a scan of the VHS "box" cover but I only rented it, I didn't buy it.
