Posted: 8/5/04 at 5:36pmokay, well i'm back with another question! i'm going to NY in december and being the worry type guy that i am, i am worrying that the days i go will just happen to be the days idina doesn't perform in Wicked or john tags doesn't perform in avenue q. how often do the leads/big names have their stand-bys perform. is it only for vacations and being sick? i'm just too paranoid, lol. help calm my nerves!

Posted: 8/5/04 at 5:39pmThey perform if the lead is sick, vacationing, or away because of an emergency. Idina isn't one to miss a lot of performances.

First of all, calm down, I know it might be crushing but both shows have great standbys. But I'm guessing that you might really want to se Idina and John Tartaglia.
There are rare situations that leads walk out last minute for some reason, but it has definitely happened. I'm thinking of Avenue Q here.
Nothing you can do to change fate, just relax until December starts. :)
