hugh jackman on today show?

i swear that i read on here that hugh was performing on the today show between 8:30 and 9 today ... i set my alarm for 8:30 and it looks like alicia keys is performing. i know he is on ellen and dateline today ... did i get that confused with his today show apperance?

No, he's on Today, uh, today. He's there to hype 'Van Helsing' though, I'm not sure he's performing.

I just did a little search and although I didn't find anything out about Hugh for today, I did see that "Weekend Today" will have a couple of Broadway performances this summer ...
May 15 --> BROADWAY'S 'WONDERFUL TOWN'
and
June 12 --> BROADWAY'S 'WICKED'

Hugh appeared on The Today Show on the couch with Katie and Matt at around 8:00 - Matt said Katie invited him to sit on the couch and he was acting all jealous because Katie was just gushing over him. It was really cute. They did speak about The Boy from Oz - Katie was at a matinee last week and they showed footage from "I Go to Rio." The actual interview was around 8:20 (right before Alicia Keyes) and it covered Van Helsing plus The Boy from Oz. Katie will also be interviewing Hugh tonight on Dateline which starts at 8:00 on NBC - I think she mentioned they will be talking about both Oz and the movie - I heard there was a Dateline camera crew at TBFO last week.

It would have been lovely if he had... but given the fact that he was there to promote Van Helsing, shaking his booty doing "Rio," might not have been the best thing to promote the film..

Oh WOW - I would love to see the musical filmed and Hugh play the role of Joe Gillis!

As someone said here on this board - he can do the role, even if it is a remake of the classic movie and not the musicalized version.
