Spiderdj82- I had the same reaction to the movie. I took two kids with me to see it when we were in Boston. They were like 10 and 8. I was kinda worried about some of the dark images, etc. in the movie, but I guess it must've gone over their heads because they weren't really bothered by it... hmmm... I also liked the music but didn't really enjoy the movie that much.

This makes me think of how I just found out (I'm sure everyone else knew but whatever) that Susan Egan was Megara in Hercules. Which is pretty cool because I love that movie and the song "I Won't Say I'm In Love". I always wonder why the voice actors in Disney movies aren't famous, but maybe they are and I just never knew! What other Broadway stars do Disney movies? (Roger Bart was in Hercules too!)

Now, HERCULES has one of the best Disney scores ever. All praise Alan Menken (who also did NEWSIES, ALADDIN, LITTLE MERMAID, and LITTLE SHOP). He can do no wrong

I have friends who are OBSESSED with the live French version of the Hunchback of Notre Dame. They have it all memorized and only one of them knows French fluently. There are some awwwwwwwwwsome voice on that CD. I think it's hard to find though.

I liked Hunchback, and I'd really like to see it staged. Some of those songs were really good pieces - God Save the Outcasts, and Hellfire were great tunes. Trying to think who would make a good Frollo. lots of similarities between his charcater and Hugo's other obsessive law-man, Javert
