I'll agree with the fact that NLB's physical comedy is right up there with the greats. The "beef jerky" bit is hysterical.

JOHN LITHGOW I just realized, your last name is Butz! Both "Norbert" AND "Butz" are in your name! You must have gotten picked on a lot as a child!

I was amazed with the entire production. Never saw the movie, so I had no idea what to expect. I think that Lithgow and Butz make such a WONDERFUL team in this show. But I was especially impressed with Sherie Renee Scott. I had never seen her perform before and I liked everything about her, especially her voice. It's such a different quality than the "standard" broadway belt, which made it a breath of fresh air. And I thought her comedy was spot on . . . not to mention that anyone who can hold focus with Norbert and John there is a true pro.

broadway86 - yup.

i thought he was amazing. and yes, it was a lot of thrashing around and stuff, but that's what made it hilarious. the character itself it pretty over the top, and everything about his performance conveyed that. i was incredibly impressed. i mean, if the jumping up and down, etc. wasn't part of his character, then yeah, that's just stupid. but it was, and that's what made it so fun and awesome!!

and as for joanna gleason, not such a big fan. her singing was pretty unimpressive, and "stiff" is a good word for the acting.

"grace, you're stuffed in a box getting rid of ass plaque. let's face it, this evening is a bust."
