I am not sure if itunes is having a sale or if they just dropped the prices on several recordings for broadway shows. The Little Mermaid is only $7.99 and several others are only $9.99.

as far as i know most albums on itunes broadway and otherwise are 9.99 with some being slightly higher, however the little mermaid is indeed on sale (which is the only reason i got the whole thing, paying 3 bucks more got me the whole cd instead of sherie's 4 songs)

Some of the ones I purchased before, were more than $9.99 and they are now $9.99. I am not sure if they will stay that price or go back up. In any case $9.99 and $7.99 is still cheaper than the stores and Amazon.

special pricing for TLM is only effective until 3/7/08. I dont know if it'll go up to 9.99 or a little higher.

it depends, two-disc recordings sometimes go for 14.99

I think buying cast recordings off of itunes, save for a song or two to tide you over, is idiodic. In termas of collecting them, and them actually being worth something (mine insured), how can you insure files on a computer? I need all the packaging, and the lyrics and such. I got Mermaid for dirt cheap off of Amazon...

It's not difficult to burn music that you buy onto a CD.

And this would be worth what in the longterm? I like itunes for pop music but it is pointless to claim to have a Cast Recording collection that only exists on a burnt cd or your computer.
