Saw the great Frost/NIxon last night...anyone else distracted by Michael Sheen's poorly fitted and wrinkled clothing? During the plane seen his belly and back were hanging out as his shirt was way to short (he adjusted it several times) and his pants looked horrible throughout...
Character? Weight gain? Bad costume staffing?
PS: I noticed the same problem (really wrinkled pants) with Brian Dennehy in Inherit the Wind....I found it that is distracted from two BRILLIANT performances. Any thoughts?

As to Dennehy's costume, the play is supposed to be taking place in an exceedingly hot and stuffy courtroom, before the invention of air conditioning so being rather rumpled in the course of the day is not unexpected. I saw ITW recently and I wasn't distracted by the costumes. I guess Dennehy could also be losing weight during the course of this run, and they should at least tailor the costume to fit him, wrinkles or no.
It's part of the character protrayal. Dennehy's character, for example, isnt one for sartorial elegance, and the play takes place in an incredibly hot courtroom.
These kinds of costume decisions arent make lightly, trust me.
I haven't seen Inherit the Wind, so I don't know there. If I noticed anything in Frost/Nixon, I assumed it was because he was on a cross-country and/or cross-continent flight.
