It is ridiculous to set a detective story in New York City. New York City is itself a detective story... AGATHA CHRISTIE, Life magazine, May 14, 1956

Two By Two is one of the last Post-Hammerstein Richard Rodgers shows and it also one of the worst. There is a very clever title song, but it really isn't great.
There is a cast album. And for Bryan, who may snoop around her saying that it sucks that Two By Two got recorded and Good Vibrations didn't-
The only reason why the short lived Two By Two did get an album is because Richard Rodgers not only composed it, but produced it and was one of its only investors. Bascially, he could do whatever he wanted with the show at his whim.

I suggest you take a look at SOME of the post-Hammerstein shows by Rodgers. (I Remember Mama is terrible, so not that.) Rex has a charming ballad called, "Away From You." Two By Two, as I said above, has a nice title song. Do I Hear a Waltz? has a very good score, with an excellent set of Sondhiem lyrics.
And then there is No Strings. This is one of the greatest and most overlooked scores of all time.
