I know I saw a post with an article from playbill.com saying it was closing on May 30 and then the post was deleted. Makes me think that someone just cut and pasted something together to start a rumor. My boyfriend works on the show and has heard no such news. Anyone?

There's nothing on any of the theater sites to suggest anything of the sort. I saw that same article, and seeing that it was deleted I assume that it was a fake. Anyone that does that obviously has too much time on their hands.

I repeat - no such article has appeared on Playbill.com. Make of that as you will. The post has been deleted because not only was it in doubt, but also a screen capture is not allowed of a copywritten site. Links only.

My God, the entire street?? What about all the businesses? How will they stay open if the street is closed? Won't there be traffic problems? And what about the threatres? There's the New Amsterdam where The Lion King plays, and the Ford Center where....oh, wait a minute...never mind.
