Posted: 10/24/04 at 12:12amI've been there a bunch of times. I'd say call them up and get a dinner reservation so you're ensured to be sitting. If it's sold out they'll have you standing up by the bar area. No matter where you are there is fine to see though, it's VERY tiny.

Posted: 10/24/04 at 9:58amI love Joe's Pub. I've been there 4 times. They usually have a line outside waiting to go in about an hour before whoever's playing goes on.

Posted: 10/24/04 at 12:22pmI'm pretty sure the Joe's Pub site has a blurb somewhere that says you have to be 18 for shows after 11:00 PM. When I went to see Euan Morton and Cary Shields, there were plenty of under 18's there with a parent.

From Joe's Pub website:
"Named in honor of The Public Theater/NYSF's founder, Joseph Papp, Joe's Pub offers eclectic entertainment for all ages. There is no age limit until 11pm each night."
I have brought my 10 year old several times.
And I agree, best way to be assured seating is to call for a reservation Then you have a table waiting regardless of the line outside.
