LMFAO this weeks new espisode is soooo funny. Its all based around Evita. The songs are hilarious and i kept on lmao! hahahaha did ne 1 else c it? ~l8r`
Yeah? I was a little let down, after all the build up. For old Evita junkies like me, there was precious little parody, though the number parallel to "Rainbow High" was cute. I expected to see the concept developed more literally. But die-hard Simpson-ites probably loved it.
Yep.. I kept waiting for an "Act One Finale" style number... a little homage to A New Argentina.

While it was good, it was not up to the standards of their other musical parodies. I also was looking for "A New Argentina" number. But the line "So Osh Kosh B'Gosh me" was funny.
What other musicals have they parodied?

They've parodied the song "Kids" and "Send in the Clowns" and "Cats". They've done musicals based on "A Streetcar Named Desire", The Betty Ford Clinic, Planet of the Apes, Malibu Stacy: The Musical and Cirque de Soleil.

Don't forget the Monorail episode, where Springfield is swindled by a traveling salesman to the tune of "Trouble."
I thought it was a funny episode but have to agree that it could have and should have done more to parody Evita. The rainbow High take off was great. The Betty Ford clinic musical "Checking In" remains the best by far.

My favorite Simpsons musical parody was "Stop the Planet of the Apes, I Want to Get Off." The production number "Dr. Zaius, Dr. Zaius" was based on "Amadeus, Amadeus" and there was a great finale number.

Don't forget the Beauty and the Beast parody, "See My Vest."
