Posted: 11/18/06 at 4:23pmI went a few weeks ago to get standing room and they weren't selling any at the time, even though telecharge said they were. I'd check with the box office before you try anything. And don't bother getting the $66 partial view seats either, because...well, you know the big triangle at the end of act 1? I couldn't see any of it, that's how "partial view" the seats are.

I'm guessing you went during previews. They didn't start selling them until after opening.

What do you mean out of the way? In the aisles? That would be a fire hazzard. You're supposed to stand, hence the term "Standing Room."

Posted: 11/18/06 at 5:51pmI did SR on Thursday and it was an okay experience. I haven't seen the show in six years and forgot how long it was. Well, my legs were so tired, I could barely stand up anymore that night. If you have the energy, go for it. Overall, I wouldn't recommend it.

Pay the $36.50 for mezz. seats.
I was sitting in last row mezz when I saw it, but it's such an intimate theatre you could see pretty decently...Besides that annoying woman next to me, but that aside.
It's a good deal.

Posted: 11/18/06 at 11:55pmThe view from SRO, which they definitely now have, is good. You miss the top part of the stage, though. And the wall you stand behind is rather high, and I noticed shorter patrons around me struggling to see. But either way, I only had to stand for the first act, as there were several empty orchestra seats.

Posted: 11/19/06 at 7:46amrecently got standing room tickets... play nice with the ushers and they'll let you slip into empty orchestra seats about 25 minutes into the show. Absolutely worth the $21.

Lez Miz was on TKTS last Friday night at 50% off. I finally got Drowsey at 35% off. (last night paid partial price for partial view at Mary Poppins)

Posted: 11/19/06 at 10:14amI did SRO and enjoyed it thoroughly. Yes it's a long show and by the end I was a little tired, but it is so worth it. The only problem I had with the location was that the top bridge of the barricade is cut off, but everything else is perfect. I really enjoyed this production.
