What is Mary Testa up to these days? I haven't heard anything about her since See What I Wanna See. Has she done any theater since then? Does anyone know if she has future plans for shows?
Thanks!

She's replacing Jennifer Hudson in the Dreamgirls movie.
Sorry, couldn't resist. I love me some Mary Testa. I want her to get a star vehicle on Broadway and just nail it.

On the Broadway: The Golden Age DVD extra features, Mary Testa talks about how she wishes character actors would sometimes get leading parts and typical leading actors would sometimes play character parts, leading to a discussion of why she likes European film better ("the people look like real people"). I would love to see her in a leading role and turn into a major major star. She deserves it!
