What is Mary Testa up to these days? I haven't heard anything about her since See What I Wanna See. Has she done any theater since then? Does anyone know if she has future plans for shows?

She was just at the Public Sings concert last week.

The smallest stream is a valent river. It will drown me if it can.

She's replacing Jennifer Hudson in the Dreamgirls movie.



Sorry, couldn't resist. I love me some Mary Testa. I want her to get a star vehicle on Broadway and just nail it.

I would love to see that. On the Broadway: The Golden Age DVD extra features, Mary Testa talks about how she wishes character actors would sometimes get leading parts and typical leading actors would sometimes play character parts, leading to a discussion of why she likes European film better ("the people look like real people"). I would love to see her in a leading role and turn into a major major star. She deserves it!

She was wonderful in everything I've seen her in. She was a hoot in 42nd Street.

She was terrific at the 92nd Street Y's Lyrics and Lyricists Frank Loesser program a couple of weeks back
