i'm not sure what reviews you're reading.
Amelie - basically panned, Charlie - DOA and everything else has been mixed to negative and if they haven't opened yet, the word of mouth has been same.

Except if you click on the Anastasia or Groundhog Day previews threads there are numerous positive reports? I don't even like Groundhog Day but to say the reception has been solely mixed-to-negative just isn't true.

And I've been reading the Anastasia Hartford reviews and Groundhog Day London reviews, both of which were almost unanimously positive.
