Abigail is NOT dreadful. Yes it is fluff theatre. If you and your date are out for an evening and not in the mood for Al Pacino and Merchant of Venice, Abigail is an enjoyable evening before or after dinner. If you consider yourself a theatre snob, then you should stay away.
