In the song "The Wizard and I," Elphaba sings, "What a pair we'll be, The Wizard and I." These notes are the same notes as

"We're off to see the Wizard, the wonderful Wizard of Oz" Except leave out "the wonderful."

Am I imagining this or do others see the connection.

Life's not worth a damn Till you can say "Hey world. I am what I am!"

No, they're not the same notes. But maybe there's some sort of connection, who knows?
Some music reminiscent of the Miss Gulch theme can be heard during the tornado scene.
