I was just checking out the list of shows that played at the Shubert, and either they are missing information, or it was dark for 9 years. Can anyone shed light on this? I can't imagine that such a popular and central theatre would remain dark for 9 months, let alone 9 years.

NEVERMIND.
Stupid moment of the day for me.
They had A CHORUS LINE listed in 1975, then a bunch of one night special events. I didn't realize they had events there while A CHORUS LINE was playing, hence the gap.
Ignore!

Where is the list? What is the missing period?
Anyway, I don't see a dark nine years in the list at ibdb:

Posted: 9/18/06 at 3:54pmI just looked at IBDB. Are you talking about what looks like a 9 year gap between 1979 and 1988? A CHORUS LINE ran there uninterrupted from 1975 to 1990. That VIP Night in 1979 and that Paul Robeson celebration in 1988 were one night only events that probably played on two different Monday nights when ACL was dark.
