In case you're all unaware, Mary Testa and Jonathan Freeman left the cast of 42nd Street this past Sunday. Their replacements are Karen Murphy and Bob Walton, and they are both fabulous. Karen has dry wit, and even though she delivers some of the lines differently and does her own thing for certain parts, she still lands everything. Bob Walton is Jim Walton's (as in PBS Crazy For You) brother, and he looks and sounds exactly like him--it's a little scary
He has a nice voice and does well. Both are not nearly as slap-sticky as Mary and Jonathan, but they play off each other well and are a fresh addition to the cast.
