new york times porgy review

All the reviews in Boston and even Variety appear to be quite favorable. It would be unfortunate if this production would not come to New York, especially since I'd love to see it and it's a very expensive trip to Boston! I am curious-- is this now a Times policy that they will be reviewing shows announced for Broadway with a theatre when that show is in a "tryout" out of town engagement? Is this a good move if so? Do you think they will go to LA for a much higher profile opening, for example, with "Funny Girl" or will this just be a selective policy? Thoughts? I understand they were still making changes in "Porgy" and are continuing to do so during the out of town engagement. I keep thinking what if they had reviewed "Movin' Out" in Chicago-- it might never have seen the light of day here.
