Should I buy this CD, I love Audra McDonald. Is the music nice to listen to? What do you guys think.

I love the music.
And if you're an Audra fan, I don't think you'll be disappointed.
Just keep in mind that, as with most projects Audra seems to sign on for, it's not a cheery production by any means.
But if you like darker shows, I would definitely recommend it.

The recording has Mary Bond Davis (Motormouth Maybelle of Hairspray) and Mary Testa (Domina of A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, Nathan Lane Revival) as well.

(Don't you love it when there are theatrical pieces with awesome female roles?)

Yeah it's a great recording but it's tough to listen to. It needs time to get the melodies.
