Hey guys. I'm sorry if this has been posted on here already. I did a search and nothing came up. I was wondering if anyone has sat in the partial view seats in the orchestra. My friend and I got tickets to see the show on Dec. 20. (2nd time for me and a first for him) we got row D far left on the aisle. It said they were partial view. I was wondering what all we'd be missing?

thanks

There not that good. I sat in row D on the opposite side of the theater for for History Boys and couldn't see a lot but because of mainly because of the sets. I hope you didn't pay full price for them, because I would regret that. The only major thing you will probably miss is the triangle the cast makes at the end of Act I.

I've been contemplating the partial view seats myself, but I'm hearing a lot of people saying NO!

I have sat in that section. (Row A far left seat) and you don't miss too much. The most interesting thing is that the actors enter and exit right past you. Sometimes that was ok, other times not so much. Like when the women enter for "turning..." carrying these big bales of whatever, very distracting and it pulled me out of the moment. Having Daphne enter for the first time after Fantines death as a "baricade boy" was also distracting, but a little fun, since she was standing an inch from my leg and she smiled.
Not to mention the dozen or so times the cast exits and or waits in that area. I would recommend seeing it from another perspective first if possible, but it is definitely interesting from that angle.

ok... thanks for all the help guys. yeah i sat up in the front mez. over thanksgiving when i saw it. and cant see where we'll be missing anything too major. and no we didn't pay full price for them. we're both college students who can't afford the $110 tickets. i really wanted to see it again and my friend really wants to see alexander geminani and daphne rubin vega (even though, she's not that great as fantine)

I think my seats were partial view considering they were the last two seats on the left of the orchestra. The actors were good with moving around and communicating with different sides of the audience. From there you saw everything you needed to - some entrances were missed and

You totally miss Enjolras getting shot. You see him go up the falling barricade and all of a sudden he disappears. You dont see the whole picture of the fighting with him at the top. Just things like that are missed.

There's also the box seats for 36 bucks. You do miss some action onstage, mostly in the begining. However for the privacy and the ability to be so close to the stage, I'd say they're worth it.

yeah we tried to get 36$ seats but they were sold out. and the guy i talked to on telecharge via the phone was not very pleasant either. which i found a little odd. i've ordered tickets on the phone many times and never got cut off before. he practicaly hung up on me before i could give him another date. but we wound up ordering the partial view seats online anyway.

They only sell the 36.25 box seats the day before and the day of the performance at the box office. But there not worth it at all. You miss more than half of the action. I would of been very upset if I hadn't found a better seat twenty minutes into the show.

I hate box seats! I saw the Wicked tour from one, and I was leaning over the railing the whole time!
