Posted: 6/13/05 at 10:20amhey folks - I don't post on here too often. I just wanted to share this with people I know would appreciate it, even though you are total strangers to me. I was in NYC this weekend after a 6 yr dry spell (I live in PA)...Anyway, I got to see Piazza and Spelling Bee and I haven't had a better two days in my 26 yrs on this planet. If you haven't seen either of these shows, please do it...I didn't want to come home...I forgot how much I love the city, it makes Pittsburgh look like Kansas...

Posted: 6/13/05 at 10:40amonly my opinion..but i found spelling bee to be trite and excessively boring..i swear he listened to the cd of black patent leather shoes and just reshaped the story..i was very bored and frankly embarrassed by some of what i consider the worst acting i have seen in years. o

everyone is entitled to their own opinion. sorry you didn't enjoy Spelling Bee...I thought it was pretty hysterical and there were some incredible musicaly moments (The I Love You Song, specifically).
There was an 11yr old girl that got picked for the Bee along with three adults...She lasted the longest of them all and when they gave her what they assumed to be a difficult word and she got it right - nobody could keep from laughing. They immediately called her back for another turn with some ridiculous word. When she asked for it to be used in a sentence they said no...I almost peed myself laughing...
