planning an NY trip and SA Ticket question
#1planning an NY trip and SA Ticket question
Posted: 3/6/08 at 12:57amSo im thinking of making a weekend trip to NY either over the summer or on labor day weekend which is when I went last year. To play it cheap im going to just sit in the balcony becasue I dont have a lot of money to spend. I want to see Spring Awakening again but this time on stage. So i was on telecharge looking at a bunch of differnt dates and all the onstage seating is already gone. Is it really all the seats are sold already or are those the seats used for student rush? Im also wondering if I should Just student rush all the shows I want to see. But im worieed if i dont get tickets i wont have anything to see so i want to buy in advance. Is that true or not? Sorry if it seems like im mindless and ranting.

Posted: 3/6/08 at 1:02amI would get as many tickets as you can in advance. If you want to rush, then go for it. Have a great trip!

They aren't released until the end or beginning of each month. Check back again later.

Posted: 3/6/08 at 1:30amthanks for the SA info. That woriees me though because if i didnt get onstage seats for august (at like hte end of july) my seat choices would be very limited.

Bumping for an update.
I went to rush Spring Awakening this morning and did not get a rush ticket. I got there at about 9am and was about three people back from the last ticket given. It's a heads up for those rushing and visiting in the coming weeks that Spring Break season is indeed upon us. They would not sell the standing room tickets at that time.
Also, the price student rush at Spring Awakening has been raised to $27. I don't remember whether it was $25 or $26.50 before, but that was an unpleasant surprise to see the printed sign posted on the Box Office window. How recent is this change?

Posted: 3/11/08 at 1:34pmHere is the best way I know to get stage seats, but it's a lot of work: (a) Join the free SA fan club on their official site, making sure you give an e-mail adress. (b) check your e-mail 2,000 times a day. When you get the notice that tix are on sale, drop everything and go to the fan club site to buy tix.(c) In the likely event those are sold out, wait about 48 hours then start checking telecharge about 1,000 times a day until the remaining stage seats go on sale.
