Posted: 3/10/06 at 4:02pmThanks, October you say? Technically then, April would make it 6 mos., Nonetheless, I'd like to know where is the official statement as to his leaving or staying on. That's all I'm saying.

my Feb. playbill says that Sandra does:
TUESDAY 7P
WEDNESDAY 8P
THURSDAY 8P
FRIDAY 8P
SATURDAY 8P
Rebecca does:
MONDAY 8P
WEDNESDAY 2P
SATURDAY 2P
I like Sandra better, and she does do more than Rebecca.

I am so glad Sandra Joseph is being ousted. The last time I saw The Phantom of the Opera was back in December and the Playbill said:
Christine Daaé.....SANDRA JOSEPH
Christine Daaé (Mon., Wed., Fri., & Sat. Mat. Performances).....REBECCA PITCHER
Why has Sandra been going on so seldomly? I thought the alternate was only supposed to perform twice per week.

I am sure Howard is not leaving in a MONTH, I was just there Wednesday night backstage and was invited back when we revisit in a couple months. I missed Sandra by a few minutes (they say she flies out because it her night with Ron at home)
It was the first time I heard her perform, unbelieveably better than the others! And Howard performed so much more flowingly with her, altogether more sensual in MOTN. I left nail marks in my husband's leg. He didn't even know until later, we were so engrossed. What a difference to the Phantom a leading lady makes. Or in this case, the last few performances with a friend?
The audience wouldnt stop clapping and the orchestra had to start again and the 'Phantom' snuck back into the tomb until she bashfully whispered "ThankYou" to the audience. I loved her. Her veil got stuck, several other little bloopers never threw her off.
I can't imagine another Phantom....a gentleman on and off the stage. I wouldn't mind seeing another Raoul...
Ugh....I am so glad they didn't tell me. It would have spoiled a wonderful night.
Our friend at the majestic was quiet when I told him I would catch up with Sandra another time to add her to my friend's website, now it all makes sense.
But not Howard!
I have read your link, whoever posted it about your 'sources'.
But I can't imagine friends of Mr McGillin spreading rumors (he did not want public) behind his back.
Plus why would my husband and I would be told to stop at the Majestic on our way to somewhere else to see them for something if Howard was not going to be there?
