These videos aren't new though, I even think they've been posted on here before. And did you ask permission of the person who took these videos to post a link here? Just wondering...

I was being entirely sarcastic, and attempting a bit of humor. I am not quite sure what it is that some people have stuck up their rear ends here. But since capitol letters and an abundance of punctuation seem to cause so much bother for Ms. MyNameInLights, I will sadly remove them and keep my excitement for this movie, and musical theatre in general, to myself. I think we would all enjoy ourselves a lot more if some posters were not so cynical and serious. Oh well.

Last time I checked, I didn't have anything stuck up my rear end. I wasn't the only person who pointed out that you had too many exclamation points in the title, yet you still made a comment towards me. Sorry for pointing out the fact that the title was throwing off the board. I wasn't trying to be cynical or serious, but it isn't any better to say something like "people have stuck up their rear ends here". It's immature and just a bit on the rude side. I was just letting you know that it was lame to try and cover up something that was obvious. I never said you had to contain yourself, and if you got that from my post, boy am I sorry. Wasn't trying to be mean or a downer.

I'm sorry. I wasn't trying to cover anything up. I just thought it would be funny to change the exclamation points to asteriks. My post from above: "Weird. I don't even see any exclamation points. That is crazy." was a joke, since I had changed the exclamation points to another bunch of offending punctuation. I was only trying to get your goat.

These clips have been around for awhile and were shot by a person who was working crew on the movie. They are rehearsal clips so they are not singing live but just choreographing to a soundtrack for the purpose of camera angles etc.

only the first few are rehearsal clips. The ones that say take 1, etc are when they were really shooting. they would not have been shouting things like rolling, action, and cut if they were "just choreographing to a soundtrack for the purpose of camera angles etc."

LittleChap: You are correct, there are shots in this batch from live shooting (which by the way should not have been released to the public because they were taken on set...but someone who was working on the set took these videos). My point was that the shots you were talking about being done with soundtrack (those that were done for rehearsal) were done for choreographing the shots. The live shots were done with them singing. Dubbing will be done if necessary but Brooks' vision of this movie was to do as much live shooting as possible so yes, they were singing.

These videos have been around for awhile and the person who took the shots did (on some site or another -- can't recall which one) describe what was going on in the shots. I think the original link may have been posted on the Producers website forum, but can't remember.

They were originally posted on the Producers website forum, months ago, but they weren't taken by someone with the movie. They were taken by a fan who happened to be watching them film. He went a couple days and even a night or two and filmed them filming the "We Can Do It" scene in the fountain.

That's why I asked if you had gotten permission to post these, as they are shots by a fan and not official video. I'm sure the person wouldn't mind you posting the link here, but he at least deserves credit for all the work he put into making these available.

Jessica, there were shots on the Producers site that were taken by Bill who worked on the movie too. If these are not those shots then they are pretty close to the same material. AND, if they were taken by a fan illegally, the fan is lucky that their camera was not confiscated. Surprised, in this day and age of eBay, that the person did not put them up for sale.

In any event, the scenes were filmed over a couple of days and the night of the shoot, the water was about 45 degrees. Wet suits were used for rehearsal but not for the actual shoot and unfortunately several retakes were required because of a persistent helicopter that kept flying overhead.

Oh my mistake then! I was always under the impression that Bill was just a fan and not actually with the movie. Very sorry about that, my error...
