So, I did the Tony Career Day workshop yesreday, and one of the theaters we went to was the Booth. Now, the set design for Faith Healer is very simple (and nice), but I noticed one thing. The wings are totally blocked off. Can anyone who's seen the show possibly shed a little light on how the actors get on stage?
That was a really stupid question, but I'm curious.

Well, while the audience never sees anyone enter or exit -- there's an enormous curtain that moves slowly across the stage, giving the actors and the stagehands about 15 seconds to get the set pieces and props into place before the curtain departs for the wings -- I assume there's a false wall on one or both of the wings that quickly opens when the curtain gets to the point where it covers the whole stage allowing for quick entrances and exits before closing again as the curtain leaves, giving the illusion of a room without doors.

Thanks, Margo.
That sounds cool.
