question about a casting notice

On playbill.com I have found an audition I am interested in going to, it says "A chorus call is being held" and no where in the casting call does it specify weather it is an equity call or not, so does this mean that me as a newbie and none equity member could go. If it doesn't say it is equity does that mean it is an open call?
