When does it end?? And does anyone know if Heather Laws is still in the Ensamble??

Yes Heather Laws is still in the cast - I went to the matinee on July 18 and Stephanie J. Block was out and Heather Laws played Liza Minnelli - I also understand Heather was Liza on tbe previous Saturday night also.

Was Heather any good? I saw her as Sally Bowles in CABARET...she knocked me on my ass ...I was very impressed.

Well, here's my opinion. I had seen Stephanie twice already before I saw Heather as Liza so maybe that colored my opinion. While she sang great and was absolutely fine, I liked Stephanie's interpretation much better. I think the first thing that threw me off was that Heather is much shorter than Stephanie - she was about chin-level with Hugh. I also think Stephanie sounded a bit more like Liza. One person who I was with who also saw Stephanie twice also liked Stephanie better, and a "newbie" didn't like Heather at all (but she's the type that likes original actors and was disappointed that an understudy was filling in). All that said - I knew there are people on the BFO message board that also saw Heather and loved her - so it's all your own preference. Like I said, she did fine with her interpretation, and I probably wouldn't have thought twice about it if I hadn't already seen Stephanie - I hate comparing people but this is JMO on the performances.

I also saw her in Cabaret and thought she was amazing. It's good to know that she is the understudy for Stephanie. I was surprised when I just saw that she was ensamble. I thought she was a great sally and would love to see her in more!!
