Just listened to the CD & blown away by the score

This needs to be staged - preferably @ Lincoln Center

But for the 'Autumn' song, it's a pretty forgettable score.

I have the CD and, though I like some of it and think the story has possibilities, it comes across as a work in process and musically "not quite there".

"it comes across as a work in process and musically "not quite there"."

Saw it at the Willows Theatre near San Francisco twice. Completely agree with you. I'm not sure how much is different between the CD and the show there, but it doesn't appear to have improved significantly. It had promise, but oh man, soooo many problems.

I saw this show at the Willows theater also. I enjoyed some of the music, but agree with Lizzie that it still needs work. The staging of the character of the Preacher is what bothered me the most....he is not consistently evil in the show, and to me, that character should be consistent throughout.

Beautiful sets, though, and I hope they can tighten it for another staging soon.
