will the tour continue next year, or is this the last year for the tour too?
bumping in hopes that someone knows.
As long as there is money to be made, it will tour.
I can't imagine the Broadway closing will impact a tour other to ensure that Matt Caplan gets a P.O. Box.

As Mr Tuttle posted her last night, the current Non Equity tour will go away and a new Equity tour with some of the original performers is in the works.
oh ok.
basically i was trying to decided if i wanted to go to new haven (again) to see rent... like if it was going to be my last chance to see it.

There was a tour of Aida last year, I'm sure a Rent tour after it's closed isn't out of the question.

i talked to mimi J (soloist) she said the tour is ending in June. im not sure if there is a new cast or if it ends in june.
Well, it always "closes" when summer comes, so that doesn't necessarily mean anything. BTW, it's kind of a tragedy that Mimi Jiminez never got to be the soloist on Broadway.
