It seems to be the day when light my candle is done in the trailer but shouldnt it be night or at least dark out? I mean Mimi says thank god for the moon so where's the moon? Sorry if this was said on another thread.

New York City also has street lights, neon signs, car beams, etc. In other words...it's not very dark. It's not like they are singing "Light My Candle" at night in the middle of a barn in Idaho.

Watching the trailer, it's definitely night. There is strong "street light" outside though (which could be there to play up the "Spike Lee's shooting down the street..." line)

hard to tell with a clip like that, it could be the light in his apartment- like you know those fluorescents they put in cheap apartments? you never know what the cinematographer might be doing with lighting it will be more clear when we see the whole environment, probably.

cept the whole reason why they are lighting a candle is because the power went out.

Okay thanks I guess I'm used to blinds being on the windows when I'm in the city :) I don't know much about homeless life and hope never to experience it.

If you're referring to Mark and Roger not having blinds on their window as "homeless" then you've got something to learn. Living in an apartment (even one with no heat and a crazy landlord) is not homeless.
