In all seriousness... I do remember there was a thread on this and someone said one of the actors announced at curtain call the last night that they were recording the next day. Although, that's how rumours get started.

at the "curtain call" on Sunday afternoon, 4/30, Jeb Brown said that the album would be recorded on Tuesday, 5/2. How could it possibly be a rumor if the announcement was made by a cast member, with the director, producers and stage manager all present when the announcement was made???

They'd probably just be throwing out even more mony if they released it. I guess that's why they're sitting on it.

It was recorded, and financed by the Cash family. I believe it's being released by Time Life Records, but I don't know when. I also can't confirm that.
