rush, TKTS for Sunday#1
Posted: 11/11/06 at 1:28pm
Hi, all... I've got nothing to do tomorrow (Sunday) so I was thinking of hopping a train into the city and catching a matinee. Does anyone know which shows have rushlotto seats that aren't TOO in demand - IE, that I could get without standing in line for more than 45 minutes to an hour? Or, how about show that would be on TKTS?
I guess specifically, does anyone know roughly when I should get in line to get rushTKTS (basically anything cheap) tickets for:
Avenue Q
Beauty and the Beast
The Grinch
Forbidden Broadway
I love You... now change
Jersey Boys
Phantom
The Wedding Singer
...pretty much everything else I've either seen or have no desire to.
Thanks a lot for your help!

Posted: 11/11/06 at 2:06pmYou could get to The Wedding Singer at 9 and get a rush ticket at 10. The Grinch you could just walk up and buy a rush ticket for at any time. Forbidden Broadway will be and I Love You...Change may be at TKTS for cheap. Ave Q may be at TKTS for about $50. Jersey Boys you don't have a hope unless you wait a couple hours. Beauty and the Beast will be at TKTS for probably around $60.

thanks a lot! I've seen the Wedding Singer twice already, and I don't really want to get up early enough to get there and then have 4 hours until the show, so I think I'll head to TKTS and see what they have. I'm sure they'll have at least one of the four or five shows that I want to see, but does anyone have a suggestion for what time to get there (Mariott location) to have some good choices for the matinee?

Does anyone have recoomendations as far as what time to get into line at TKTS to have a pretty good slate of choices? Also, does anyone know how roughly how long the line is on a typical Sunday?
