slightly disappointed

I am not sure if anything regarding Idina's performance at rent 10 was posted, so i apologize for starting a new thread if it has, i just got back from nyc. I was disappointed in her. She did not know her lines well, she was on that stage with her legs crossed acting as tho it was the last place she wanted to be. She had a script there but didn't bother really to look at it, she didn't know the dance to la vie boheme. She strutted around looking very cutsy and i just thought she'd be better than that. She didn't want to let us forget her husband was Taye digges either, which, by the way, he didn't really know his stuff either. I figured they'd care a bit more for us who payed so much to see them and care for the show that launched their careers. Many of the original cast didn't show up to the after party either. It was a lot of fun, i still don't regret buying my tickets, but i expected a little more.

Okay, there's already been countless things about this, but I don't understand why people expect SO much from them. They gave almost an entire performance! They could have just stood up there with music stands (which is originally what they thought they were going to do, until the day before the performance). So, if someone crosses their legs, it means they don't want to be there? She looked very happy to me, she was joking around with the cast members and high fiving Daphne.

Maureen is SUPPOSED to be like that. It's called acting. And who cares if she was having fun with her husband? This was not our night, it was for the cast.

Those tickets were for charity. I would think that you would be happy that your money goes to a good cause. And so what if Idina and Taye didn't go to the afterparty? Maybe they wanted to spend time together instead of having to sign autographs all night. Considering how crazy her fans are, that is exactly what she would be doing. Adam was leaving at 6:00 in the morning the next day to move across the country. He probably wanted to spend his last night in New York with one of his closest friends, which is why Jesse didn't go. Daphne was there, so was Anthony, Gwen, Rodney, Byron, Aiko, and Timothy.

They gave so much in that performance. SO WHAT if a few of them messed up there lines. They got all of 5 hours of rehearsal time. Give them a freaking break.

Seriously, what next? Are people going to start making threads about how Gilles is an ass because he wasn't at the performance?
