no..she is just a horrible horrible actress..i dont know her personally but good lord please stop this woman...no wonder people think off broadway is bad..she is the queeen of bad off broadwway theatre

You know, people should really be careful of what they say on these boards, and how they insult and say how horrible an actor or actress, because do people understand that friends, family, co-stars, or even the actor/actress themselves may read these boards???

I, along with two other people am friendly with Catherine Russell, and she is a wonderful actress, and obviously A LOT of people must like the show, as it has been running for 15 years..

So you should really be careful of what you say....

As it has been said many times before, if an actor or actress can't take criticism then they should pick a different profession. Performers are subject to criticism a great deal because of the nature of their work. No one made any personal comments about Catherine Russell, only that she is a bad actress. This is fair. Saying "she's a psycho who smells bad" would be unfair as it does not pertain to her acting.

Actually, there is a BIG difference between criticism and bashing someone....

"she is just a horrible horrible actress" and "god awful play with that god awful actress catherine russell is going to have another home..please someone shut that piece of trash down..and stop her from teaching acting. "

is NOT criticism, that is bashing... Saying something like "I think she could have done...this differently than the way she did it" is criticism....

Yes, as an actor you must be able to take criticism, but those remarks were not criticism, those were remarks to bash Catherine Russell and the show she's in...

thank you trp...and thats right i never said anything bad about her personally..but she is a terribly actress and i have been in theatre for 40 years..she shouldnot be acting at all.
and by the way. i do have freedom of speech and i can say what i want when i want and ....just like you cant tell me to be careful .right? i thought so. and if you were a friend of hers...please take her aside and give her some advice...stop acting.

Alright let me try this then..since some of you are bit..sensitive.

The Perfect CRime is just that. A play with a limp plot and limp acting. The actress, Catherine Russell attempts to play reality and in some venue might work, however this actress comes across as unprepared, overacted and self invovled. The character is flat and bland and I would hope for Ms. Russells sake she would choose another role, because this role is not showing off her good side, which i am certain exists.

Apparently, she isn't a bad actress as she has been with the show for 15 years, and for a show to be running for that long people must like it.... And also i never said anything about you saying anything personal about it, Just that you can have your opinions, but there is no need to bash her as an actress.
