are there 3? is that correct? which one is the real one? like the official one and the one that will sing on the soundtrack? I want to see the official cast. Should I go Sat matt, Sat eve, or Tue eve.??? Would it matter?

there apparently are 3 kids parts that are fairly important so they cast a total of 9 kids (3 for each character) allowing for 3 groupings that work well together. they are all considered the "real" cast. they are all "official"... each group plays 2 or 3 times per week, thus taking a lot of the working actor stress from little kids who need to be in school..
Cast recording, not soundtrack.

my understanding is that all 3 groups will make the cd and you won't know which group you get until you purchase it and listen to it.
are you serious???? theyre going to record 3 different versions of the score and release them on the same label randomly mixed?? is that possible??

just the kids parts. all the adults are the same every performance.
so if there are 8 shows a week and 3 groups . . . .. . .3 kids get ripped a performance?? so so confusing. ill book saturday night!!

you'll be fine with a friday or saturday night. don't worry about their schedule. it's just a way to get kids school, and not worry about 8 performances a week for kids.
What about Tueday evening? Or Sat matt vs. Sat eve?
Bronx, I assume you'll be going after the opening, as they're not doing Tuesday performances during most of the preview period.
And there are actually 15 kids in the show, and they are all triple cast, so there's a total of 45 kids in this, who all have to be replaced in six months!
lizzie, no need to be so anal. people call cast recordings' soundtracks all the time, its something u will just have to get used to.

No, it's something that is a common mistake that needs to be corrected whenever possible.
People call Russell Crowe Australian, but he's not.

I would love a full justification on why cast recording and soundtrack are so incredibly different. People are acting like they aren't even similar to each other.
And if Russell Crowe isn't Australian, then all the people that moved to America can no longer call themselves Americans. Sure, he wasn't born there, but that's where his home has been since he was a child. And all you New Yorkers: If you weren't born there, you will never be a New Yorker!
(Now, doesn't all of that just sound silly?)

You're right. That's why I said the things that I just said.
