During my last musical, Into the Woods, about two weekends ago, we only had one perfect run, which was opening night. Friday night, our Mysterious Man missed his SCENE where he gives the gold back to the Baker. Since he wasn't there, our Baker went onstage with the gold and goes, "Look what I found," to the audience, and ran back offstage.

Saturday night, to my horror, I missed my death's scene (as Jack's Mom). Little Red Ridinghood, an awesome ad-libber and one to recognize when somebody needs to talk, starting ad-libbing and the Baker followed suit. I only think they did two lines, and then Rapunzel went on and did her scene. I was running onstage as Rapunzel's Prince made his final exit after her death and then we just did my scene as usual and possible. :P

I was stage managing for a truly dreadful production of Little Women and on opening night Jo's nose started bleeding in the middle of a scene. She snuck off stage as discreetly as she could, but Amy and Laurie wound up improvising a scene that basically went "So do you think we should tell them we're married" "Yes when do you think we should tell them." Everyone went back on stage to congratulate them and Jo snuck back out when we finally stopped the bleeding.

I was also in a production of You're A Good Man Charlie Brown that had agreed to perform at a fair. In the middle of the show one of the cars on one of the rides fell off, with people in it. No one was hurt, but we had to continue the show while the police, ambulance, and fire truck came and the people still on the ride were screaming for someone to get them down.

Oh and during a production of Do Black Patent Leather Shoes Really Reflect Up? two chorus members accidentally drank Pine-Sol

Guys and Dolls. Was playing Big Jule. I leaned against the newsstand it turned out someone forgot to put the weight behind it and.... yeah. Down it went.

It was in an unmarked jug backstage that looked just like the jugs of water we had around, it was very dark, and they both had colds and couldn't smell it. One of them actually drank it without realizing what it was, the other figured it out and spit it out.

Was in a regional production of CAROUSEL. There was a short dance number by three of us that involved a lot of turns and girly curstying, flirty, skirt kickin' type stuff. During a quick costume change backstage, I couldn't find the lacy, knee-length pantaloons we wore under our dresses. I grabbed a pair of bike shorts out of my costume bin and slipped them on under my costume figuring, if my skirt flared during a turn, at least the audience wouldn't have to look at my bum under my tights alone. Bottom line was, I had to get on stage. Well, would you know, the review in the local paper the next day said "...talented dancer, but the bike shorts..."

I didn't live that one down for a long time.
