so i'm wondering why judy kuhn didn't go to broadway with this show... instead it was alice ripley i believe... anyone know?

Who was in LA before Bway? Was it Judy or Alice? Personally, I think Judy was too old looking even though I'm sure Alice and she are about the same age!
