re: tarzan

As in Disney's Tarzan, or just Tarzan in general? Because the songs in Disney's Tarzan weren't very theatrical.

re: tarzan

Nope - wrong-o.

Originally, TARZAN was going to come in 2005. However, they changed their plans, and MARY POPPINS comes in 2005, and TARZAN in 2006. LITTLE MERMAID in 2007.

re: tarzan

I honestly hope it doesn't come. I think it would be a bit corny, Adam or no. I hope he gets a better offer.

Last I heard it was Tarzan in 2005

re: tarzan

Nope. Tarzan in 06. They changed it about three weeks ago.

I don't think TARZAN would work, either. They'd have to figure out who sings what songs, and write new songs for the actors to sing.

I wonder if they would just have a "narrator" or "storyteller", maybe even with his/her own chorus, sing the songs. Hmm. Not sure how they would transform this to the stage.

re: tarzan

So what happens to the workshop cast? Are they out of work for a year before Tarzan gets moving or do they get to do other things? I don't know how this works.

re: tarzan

A guy running around in a loincloth and singing- or better yet, swinging? re: tarzan Sounds interesting, that's for sure.

re: tarzan

Um, they HAVE been doing other things. Once the workshop was over, that was basically it. They may be asked to audition when Disney goes to start casting, or they may even be offered a role. Or they could be asked to return for more workshops.

But since that last workshop, they've been free.

re: tarzan

The only thing I'd be looking forward to in Tarzan would be Laura Bell Bundy She should have just gone with the Wicked contract! Silly girl.

re: tarzan

When did you hear this?

That sucks about Adam still doing it. Bleh. I don't want to have to sit through Tarzan just to see him.

re: tarzan

i spoke to adam on last week and he told me that they were still working on the show, he said tarzan doesnt sing that he would act as a story teller of sorts

re: tarzan

Do you know anything else?

I know about the storyteller role, but I don't think the musical is something I'll like so I'm just a bit disapointed that he's staying with it.

re: tarzan

re: tarzan

Bway-buff, if you do in fact know Adam, your posts are some that I am going to want to read. Now, how can I do that if you don't type them in at least a semi-coherent manner?

re: tarzan

Okay, maybe you do know Adam. It's not really my place to judge that. But, since you asked, the lack of coherence is coming from the lack of punctuation in your sentences. Call me crazy, but it's really hard to read.
