re: tarzan rush question/josh question

It is students only. I went with my roommate last week, and they asked for our student IDs. You can always see if anyone in line is only getting one ticket though, maybe you could buddy up with them. That was the suggestion we were given.

I got student rush tickets on Wednesday, we were in the First Row for $20. There were about 15 people in line for the student tickets I would say, and they go on sale at 6pm.

Ok first of all you are so lucky you got first row because I got last row and i was pissed but anyway Josh does do both shows on matinee days. And he also comes out of the stage door for both performances.

re: tarzan rush question/josh question

why wouldn't josh do both shows? and why do people think that most leads don't do two shows a day?

re: tarzan rush question/josh question

Because I went to a matinee of B&tB while Sarah Litzsinger was supposed to play Belle and she didn't show, her understudy had perform = (

curtain,
he seems to be giving everyone a bad rep.

lizzy, do you see other shows besides that one? okay, so she missed a matinee. doesn't means he doesn't do them.. it means she missed a performance. a matinee is no different then an evening show.

Broadwayguy2 i totally argree with you people are totally under this misconception that stars of the shows don't do matinee's.I also feel that you should see a show because you want to and not always because of the people in it. (though it is nice when they are there)

re: tarzan rush question/josh question

well I live in Florida so I that is the only show I have seen and I have seen it only once. I wish I could see more but I won't be able to afford to fly to NY and see a Broadway show for 15 months. Which I am upset about because I am dying to see the OBC of Drowsy Chaperone, Mary Poppins, and Tarzan but I doubt they will still be in them then.

I heard that Josh doesn't do both shows on matinee days too, but he does as long as he isn't sick or anything.

re: tarzan rush question/josh question

I saw Tarzan a few months ago at a matinee and Josh wasn't there. I'm embarassed to say that I don't recall the understudy's name but he was excellent as was the entire cast. I had no suspicion that anyone was holding back because it was a matinee, the energy and performances were amazing! Reading these boards, I'm almost afraid to say this, but I loved the show (Hi, my name is Joe and I loved Tarzan. 'Hi Joe', 'Welcome Joe', 'Have a Tarchip, Joe'. Feels like a 12 step meeting...) It's in the CD player of my car and I want to see it again soon... which is why this post is also relevant.

After a 20+ year absence, I'm once again a full-time student carrying 18 credits (and I'm terrified!). Are they going t give a 42yo with a real live photo student ID a hard time over rush tickets? The truth is, with the price of tuition and the 40 hours a week I can't bill now because of schoolwork, it'd be a big help. I kinda thought that rush tickets might be a perk and let me catch a few shows when I'm down in the city... what do you all think? How early do you have to get there for a matinee and is it likely I could get tickets to see the apes sing and swing again?

Happy New Year everyone!

re: tarzan rush question/josh question

These people are contracted for 8 shows. If they get sick or feel the need to take a personal day, they're out.

I've seen Josh walking to work almost every time I'm in the vicinity of the Rodgers. On matinee days.
